To London day 13

It has officially been 1 month since we left Nottingham for London. I can't believe how quickly the time has gone. We have cracked on today determined to get to London as soon as possible. There have been more water restrictions on route due to the low levels in the reservoirs and we have been waiting to share locks again. Like last time, most boats are coming up and not going down with us so we've been riding down on the lock to allow boats coming up.

Today we tackled Braunston locks - 6 in a row, Braunston tunnel, turned at Norton Junction for another set of 7 locks (the Buckby flight)...

and then we steamed on to pass the stretch of canal which runs parallel to the M1 motorway. Just before a village called Weedon we found a lovely open area of land with good mooring and stopped for the night. 9 miles and 13 locks today, phew! Tomorrow we hope to reach Stoke Bruerne locks.
