We are raring to go, to leave the area, to be on the move once more. Delia takes her place in the window to watch the moves and occasionally miaow through the pane of glass.
We had booked in the engine service at Springwood Haven near to Nuneaton and spent the night before by the wooded towpath.
After a complete oil change, new filters, a new alternator belt and the stop cable replaced our engine was running smoothly. To top all this we invested in a new alternator and basic battery monitor so that our domestic batteries will be charging more efficiently, saving us from running the engine for such a length of time just for the pleasure of indoor light at night.
And finally today we have filled up the boat with wood, food and water for the journey ahead.
